The De Guise Knot

The Duc De Guise courted the Princesse de Montpensier vividly in Paris, at the court of the king Charles the 9th, and in the castle of Champigny, under the jealous eye of her husband, the Prince de Montpensier.

We owe this grand tale of passions to Madame de Lafayette, countess and early French novelist of the 17th century.

The Duc De Guise and the Princesse de Montpensier are our French star-crossed lovers and, a tribute to their impossible love, our De Guise knot is a mirrored version of the Montpensier knot.
