Portrait #6 - Fatou
For this Portraitn°6, I am meeting with Fatou on the bridge of the Monnaie au Change near Ile de la Cité. It is a frisky autumn morning and we come across early-birds as we walk along the banks.
#1 Fatou, what is your favorite neighborhood in Paris ?
I have a particular feel for the 19ème district. The Parisian East is full of surprise, a bit in the Amsterdam style with its canals and banks and a certain popular fervor: it is my favorite meeting point.
#2 A little Parisian habit of yours ?
I would say strolling around and chilling at the terrace of a café. I recently discovered the Roman arenas of Lutèce as I was wandering in the 5th district.
#3 If your district was a song ?
« At Last », by Etta James ;). Her song is inspiring, imbued with love and nostalgia : it perfectly embodies our City of Lights.
#4 Your favorite gourmet Parisian address ?
An address I never get tired of is the maki bar « Blueberry », rue du Sabot, in the district of Saint-Germain-des-Prés.
